About Shawn

Shawn Nason and his wife Jennifer, a lifelong Transconian, have proudly called Transcona home for more than 20 years. Together, they raised their children, Sarah and Noah, in the community they continue to love and support.

Since 2022, Shawn has worked as a Sales Manager for a long standing Transcona manufacturing company. His previous public service experience includes serving as the City Councillor for Transcona from 2018 to 2022, as well as working as a Special Legislative Assistant to provincial cabinet ministers and as Constituency Manager for Elmwood–Transcona Member of Parliament Lawrence Toet. Earlier in his career, Shawn worked in Information Technology and Project Management.

Throughout the years, Shawn has remained deeply involved in the community. He has volunteered with the Transcona Historical Museum, Winnipeg East AM Rotary, Oxford Heights Community Club, FC Northwest Soccer Club, Winnipeg Phoenix Soccer Club and local school parent associations. He has coached hockey, basketball, and soccer and most recently served as a youth soccer coordinator and coach in northeast Winnipeg.

Shawn believes strong communities are built through service, accountability, and working together. As a former City Councillor, community volunteer, husband, and father, he understands the importance of protecting taxpayer value, investing in infrastructure, supporting recreation, and ensuring Transcona continues to be a great place to live, work, and raise a family.

Experience Matters. Results Matter.

Ready to Serve. Ready Day One.
